Astros place 1B José Abreu, reliever Phil Maton on IL: What this means for Houston

The Houston Astros placed first baseman José Abreu on the injured list with lumbar spine inflammation, the team announced Saturday. Here’s what you need to know:

Abreu said he received two cortisone shots on Friday after undergoing an MRI. David Hensley has been recalled as the corresponding move.
