Braves’ Kyle Wright expected to miss 2024 season with surgery; Jesse Chavez off NLDS roster

Atlanta Braves starter Kyle Wright will need a surgical procedure of some kind on his shoulder and is expected to miss all of the 2024 season, Braves manager Brian Snitker said Saturday. The news comes hours after Atlanta left Wright and veteran reliever Jesse Chavez off its National League Division Series roster.

An MRI on Friday revealed the damage to Wright’s shoulder.
Both Chavez and Wright returned in mid-September from long stints on the injured list — Chavez missed three months and Wright more than four months.
