Brewers’ Brandon Woodruff could miss all of 2024 season after shoulder surgery

Milwaukee Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff is expected to miss most of the 2024 season, and potentially all of it, after undergoing surgery Friday to repair the anterior capsule in his right shoulder, the team announced. Here’s what you need to know:

Woodruff was left off the Brewers’ roster for the Wild Card Series, which they lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks, because of the injury. Manager Craig Counsell said the right-hander’s availability for the rest of the postseason was “up in the air” should Milwaukee have advanced.
