Dave Roberts rebuts Seth Lugo’s claims of Dodgers’ sign-stealing: ‘Sounds like an excuse’

PHOENIX — The Dodgers’ fourth-inning, eight-run barrage against Padres starter Seth Lugo in Monday’s 13-7 win was a blur — so much so that in speaking with reporters postgame, the right-hander accused the organization of looking at Lugo’s grips from second base and relaying them to the hitters at home plate as the inning went awry.
