Former Anaheim mayor agrees to plead guilty to corruption charges related to Angel Stadium sale

Former Anaheim mayor Harry Sidhu agreed to plead guilty to federal charges related to his actions in a previously-voided deal to sell Angel Stadium, according to a plea agreement filed Wednesday and obtained by the Los Angeles Times. Here’s what you need to know:

Sidhu, who resigned from his post in May 2022 following an FBI affidavit alleging attempted corruption in the deal, will plead guilty to obstruction of justice, wire fraud and two counts of making false statements to a federal agency, according to the plea agreement filed in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana, Calif.
