Kirby: 'I screwed up' wishing to not pitch in 7th

Mariners starter George Kirby said he didn’t want to pitch in the seventh inning of Friday night’s loss, an inning in which Kirby gave up a tying home run on his 102nd pitch. On Saturday he said he regrets the comments.
