The Twins secured the top wild-card seed by virtue of being the third-best division winner after claiming the AL Central. Minnesota, who is winless in its last 18 playoff games, hosts Toronto for a best-of-three series despite finishing with a worse record. The Blue Jays went 3-3 against the Twins this season. The Rays locked up the No. 4 seed after failing to catch the Orioles and will host the Rangers. Tampa Bay went 2-4 against Texas.
