Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Shane McClanahan will have Tommy John surgery Monday, manager Kevin Cash told reporters Tuesday, and the All-Star will likely miss the entirety of the 2024 season. Here’s what you need to know:

McClanahan was moved from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Saturday and was expected to miss the remainder of the 2023 season.
