The Cincinnati Reds have placed first baseman Joey Votto on the 10-day injured list with left shoulder discomfort, the team announced Thursday. Here’s what you need to know:
Votto has appeared in 51 games for the Reds this season, batting .200 with 34 hits, 13 home runs and 33 RBIs.
The 2010 NL MVP made his season debut on June 19 after surgery to repair tears in both his rotator cuff and biceps in his left shoulder in 2022.
Cincinnati also recalled Nick Senzel, Curt Casali has returned from a rehab assignment and Henry Ramos has been outrighted to Triple-A Louisville.
