Report: Brewers made strong push for Mets' Alonso at trade deadline

The Milwaukee Brewers made a strong effort to acquire All-Star first baseman Pete Alonso from the New York Mets ahead of the trade deadline, sources told The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.

“I don’t know what the future holds, but right now, I’m a Met,” Alonso said, according to’s Anthony DiComo. “And I love being a Met.”
