Scherzer faces live hitters, hopes for ALDS return

Rangers right-hander Max Scherzer threw to live batters on Friday for the first time since Sept. 12, when he went on the injured list with a right shoulder strain, with hopes on returning to the team in some capacity for the playoffs.
