Wander Franco being investigated by specialized unit in Dominican Republic: Report

An investigation into Wander Franco’s alleged relationship with a minor in the Dominican Republic is being handled by The National Agency for Boys, Girls, Adolescents and Family and Gender Violence Unit, a prosecutor told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
Major League Baseball’s department of investigations has begun its own inquiry into Franco, who is from the Dominican Republic. The Rays put him on the restricted list Monday, a day after he was accused of an inappropriate relationship on social media.
