Yankees' Misiewicz carted off after taking 100.6-mph liner to head

New York Yankees left-hander Anthony Misiewicz left Friday’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates after taking a 100.6-mph liner to his head off the bat of Ji Hwan Bae in the sixth inning.

Misiewicz was carted off the field after laying on the ground for several minutes:

The 28-year-old was alert and oriented after being assessed by Pittsburgh team doctors, and he’ll undergo further testing at Allegheny General Hospital, the Yankees announced.

Misiewicz was making only his third appearance since joining New York.
