Yankees’ starting pitcher Nestor Cortes back on the injured list with left rotator cuff strain

MIAMI — For seemingly all season, the New York Yankees have been hoping that once they get fully healthy, they’ll be able to fulfill the high expectations that were set for them.
So much for that.
They suffered another blow Friday when lefty starting pitcher Nestor Cortes landed back on the injured list with a left rotator cuff strain — an injury similar to what sidelined him for two months this season.
To fill Cortes’ spot, they called up righty starting pitcher Jhony Brito from Triple A.
Cortes’ season might be over. He told reporters that he won’t throw for as long as a month…
